welderman85 53 #1 Posted May 14, 2013 sorry if i posted this in the wrong spot. i was at the local farm store today and was looking at tires for the front of my Lt1136. they were made by a company called hi-run i have never heard of them before so i did a little searching and didnt come up with much for tractor tires so i was wondering what you guys thought of them. thanks
Don1977 604 #2 Posted May 14, 2013 Don't know who makes them. I have some with the same tread on a trailer. Been on there 30 years or more and still in good shape but it's been kept inside. I thank they are sold under a lot of different names. The name on mine is ARCO. Some have got some good deals from tire stores that sell on line.
Tankman 3,520 #3 Posted May 14, 2013 I've seen the Hi-Run tires but, don't know who manufactures them. Perhaps made to order for Hi-Run by the lowest bidder. Made a purchase last week from Miller Tire. Totally impressed with the service, delivery, price. You might take a peek-a-boo if you need tires at Miller's website; http://www.millertire.com/categories/lawn-garden-tires/ I unmounted and mounted a pair of Carlisle Turf Masters, 23 x 10.5 - 12's. Was OK, easy enough. Then I unmounted a pair, 16 x 7.5 - 8's, also Carlisle Turf Masters. Now, thank goodness, a chore that needs doin' only once every 25 years or so! Ugh. PS. All were tubeless. The 7.50 width front tires aren't common (stock) at suppliers. A few local tractor dealers were out of stock, waitin' for delivery of tires this size. SousaKerry 502 #4 Posted May 14, 2013 Yeah the Hi-Runs are Chineese tires sold by all the finest Farm stores and Ebay junk dealers at inflated prices. I think they start the newbies at the factory on the lawn mower tires and once they survive for a couple of weeks without loosing too many fingers they move up to trailer tires, then car tires. Jake Kuhn 1,579 #5 Posted May 14, 2013 I have a set on my JD 112 and they have never leaked air. They aren't bad tires. I bought them from a family farm and home for $20 each a couple years ago.
