Bulldemis 2 #1 Posted April 30, 2013 I am a new member and would like to introduce myself. My name is John and I live in Manito, IL. This is my first Wheelhorse. I just purchased a 1975 B-100 automatic. It is in decent running condition but I can see some work that will need done. It will need totally rewired and does not have a voltage regulator. It looks as though the filter for the transaxle has not been changed in quite some time if ever. What filter does it take? I have a set of wider 5 bolt wheels and tires off of a Cub Cadet They are 23X8.5X12. Will these fit? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

chrisd200(inactive) 55 #5 Posted April 30, 2013 Welcome to Red Square!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont know about the cub wheels but your Hydro filter should be a toro # 102819 that I think changes to a # 79-5270 Good luck getting the old horse going. Nice little tractor! Bulldemis 2 #6 Posted April 30, 2013 Thanks for the warm welcome! Does anyone know if this takes a special blade? I'm talking about the one that looks like a snow plow. I am going to get some top soil delivered for my garden. I have seen several different tractors with blades and I see some listed near me. I think it would be handy to move the dirt around. As far as the wheels I will be answering my own question tomorrow and just put them on and see how they look. They are a little taller and quite a bit wider than the ones that are currently on there. Before I do anything as far as using it I am going to change all of the fluids and filters. I see Vinylguy has aftermarket decals for the tractor. If I get around to painting it I will be giving you a call.
Bulldemis 2 #7 Posted May 2, 2013 Well to answer my own question the larger tires do fit. There is not much room on the inside but it does not rub.
Jake Kuhn 1,556 #8 Posted May 2, 2013 Looks like a pretty decent little horse!
Bulldemis 2 #9 Posted May 2, 2013 I have it running but it runs very rough. It sounds like an old hit and miss engine. I am going to do the typical, new points, condensor, coil, and clean the carburator.
stevasaurus 22,902 #10 Posted May 2, 2013 (edited) Welcome to Red Square fellow Illini...nice horse. The dozer blade that fits is # 6-2132 (a # 6-2131 should also fit) and should be in the $50-$75 range. This blade fits any "B" and "C" series...I had to turn the handle that angles the blade around and redo the wire puller to fit through the space in front of the foot panel on the right side to clear the brake pedal and PTO. Bulldemis 2 #11 Posted May 3, 2013 Nice looking tractor! I thought all B-100s were hydros. Mine shows a little more misuse and time spent in the elements. And I still have to figure out why mine runs like crap.

stevasaurus 22,902 #13 Posted May 4, 2013 Believe it or not, mine was rescued while on the way to the dump. The guys that host the WHCC show in Penn, fixed it up and made it their raffle tractor for the 2010 show. I had the winning ticket...how cool is that??? If you really want to see some nice B-100s, check out RMaynard on this site...he has a few that are AWESOMELY restored.
