pgannon95 0 #1 Posted April 24, 2013 Ever since i was younger i always loved tractors and now that i have some extra money i would like to get one. What a better way to start a collection than with a wheel horse. The only problem i have is how much should i spen on a 1977 wheel horse c 120. mind the newbie
groundhog47 347 #2 Posted April 24, 2013 and as they always say I'll add my , what condition is it in, how bad do you want one, I paid $1195 for my C-120 (76) in 1981, but the shape it's in I might get $200 on a very good day. If you see some of the units on here they look like new and on a good day might get half the bank. Don't jump till you no for certain it's the unit and price you agree with yourself on getting. There are some good buys up that way. I know that's not the great answer, but every body has a "get it or forget it" price. Greatest of luck and huntin to ya! Jake Kuhn 1,555 #5 Posted April 24, 2013 I have a 77 c120 that was given to me last summer and really like it, it was very fun to snowblow with it this past winter. Is the one you are looking at a hydro or a 8 speed? ~Jake
pgannon95 0 #6 Posted April 25, 2013 Its a hydro that runs great and all the belts were replaced and it comes with a mower deck. the paint has faded but really no rust. Its being sold by a small engine repair shop so i know i wont get as good as a deal as i would from a private sale they as asking 700 just not sure if its a fair price being new to it. SousaKerry 501 #7 Posted April 25, 2013 Little steep for my book, if it had a good collection of attachments, maybe.... Let him sit on it for a few months and watch Craigslist or even this site, a better deal will come along. If he still has it this summer offer $400 cash if he will guarantee the motor.
