1977 c-120 tins

On my 12 hp kohler should I use ceramic paint on the tins as well as the motor or something else?

Hmmm...I thought ceramic was for high heat applications only? It is more expensive so I would just stick to the norm for the tins and leave the ceramic on the engine.

Well the reason I was wondering is because I've seen some nice paint jobs just melt away on some of the engine covers

The engine tins will not get hot enough to ruin standard paint.
