B-8074 19 #1 Posted April 19, 2013 Anyone have a strongland tractor. How tough are they? I see it has a cat 0 3 point hitch and it had a backhoe and front loader as options. Would you consider it as a subcompact tractor?
Jim_M 178 #2 Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) They were made by the Armstrong Tractor Co which is now out of business. I have no actual experience with them, but I'm guessing parts will be nearly impossible to find. They were built from 1995 to 2002, that means that aren't a lot of them out there and even used parts will be hard to get. Dave 1953 70 #3 Posted June 22, 2023 I have 2 of them a 1872 & 2072. They were mostly made from off the shelf parts and most parts can be duplicated or replaced with current parts. Their frames are made of 1/2" bar steel. They look kind of crude setting beside a Cub Cadet or JD of that era bur they are tough tractors. The 72 series had no rear PTO. They made a few 74 series with rear PTO with 25 HP engines and cat 1 three point hitch. They were a spin off of the Speedex brand which go back to around 1940. Speedex made the first 4 wheel garden tractor. 1
