Suburban with white hood?

I just saw a Suburban in the gallery with a white hood. Were these from the factory?? My buddy has one & we didn't know if it was dealer painted. 1962 I think. Any info/pictures??? Thanks Bill

There is no official documentation to any being painted other than red.  Several cases of other colors have shown up over the years such as white, yellow, blue and od green, but there is nothing to support them being factory painted anything other than red.

 

I think white was likely a dealer paint job to mimic the IH demonstrators... but that's just my opinion.
