Looking for a coil

I put my 212-5 with the toro power plus 12.5 hp (kawasaki motor) back togather and got to excited and I left the battery voltage hooked up to the coil after a min. or more I heard a sizzleing noise and now I get no spark the replacement part is $138 from Parts tree store. Is there any outher cheaper places or used parts sorces out there.? ya, I know kinna dumm
