squonk 41,017 #1 Posted March 30, 2013 (edited) Got the fuel tank and line cleaned out. This k321 runs sweet!! Took it for a ride around the block ALA Stevasauras. My sidewalks aren't as smooth and my finger got in the way a couple of times. Put it to work later de-thatching and then hooked up the sweeper. Trans did slow down on inclines with a good sweeper load. you could also feel a rumble in the seat. Motion control was hard to move too. Goes like a bat out of hell in reverse. Adjustments and a Mobil 1 trans oil change is next.click on the 2nd link for the "Tour" Edited March 30, 2013 by squonk

squonk 41,017 #5 Posted March 30, 2013 Now if I can get the trans working correctly I'll be in business. The main reason I got it was to put a blower on and leave it on during the winter with out switching back and forth from blade to blower. I think the trans will work as is for that. It's the hot summer weather that may pose some problems.
6wheeler 603 #6 Posted March 31, 2013 Mike, maybe you should go walk around the block once and make sure it really isn't an internal rumble

squonk 41,017 #9 Posted April 3, 2013 Changed the oil with Mobil 1 and filter over the weekend. Got a chance to drive it around today. Around the block a couple of time and up and down the yard. Not many hills to test the trans so I decided to drive over the brush pile I made on Sat. I went fast and I went slow loading up the trans. I wanted to make 1 more pass in reverse . I did not sweep up a large Wally World bag but in reverse the belt caught the bag that I didn't see. It got wound around the hydro fan and was whipping around pretty good. I was laughing so hard I couldn't get the engine shut off. Wish I had pics. Lucky I didn't break the fan!
Wheel-N-It 2,968 #10 Posted April 4, 2013 I'm glad to hear you did not break the fan or anything else Mike. Sounds like progress is beinng made. It spent (off and on) a couple of weeks sorting out a carb issue with my Blackhood, but boy was it worth it. I hope you will enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. squonk 41,017 #13 Posted April 4, 2013 If you don't have the 2nd pic, click on the link. My computer shows me the link but my phone has both pics. Changed the belt today. It wasn't cracked but well worn. New: You could really tell how much the belt was worn. The lever to engage the hydro almost disappeared below the plate when I took the make shift handle off with the old belt on . Here it is with the new belt Hope to get some lawn rolling in this weekend to test the trans fully.
