Jack, On the motor I have automotive paint, its base/clear coat and is the same type of paint I used on my 401 and my deere 60 and both have held up great, and I expect them to.

Hood is finished up now, I just have to fix the tank straps for it and then it can be painted. I also picked up a set of fenders for it I need to blast and repaint, I am not going to worry about making them nice like the hood. After that, I just have to finish the gas tank, mount the tires, and finish the motor tins and it is pretty much good to go, I might end up buying a repro belt guard and heat shield for it too.

Another very small update. I now have front wheels on, and got the steering shaft painted. Fenders are blasted, still have to blast the toolbox. I also am going to put a set of foot rests on it from one of the newer horses. Think i may of hunted down a shroud for it too.

Working on the belt guard and shroud. Need to get this thing finished! I just have to paint the hood, these, and fix the gas tank. And it should be just about done.

Finally have just about everything ready for paint. Everything but the gas tank is done. Hope to get these painted within the next week.

Made a little progress on the rj today, but only worked on it for a little while. Hood and belt guard are just sitting on for the picture. Don't have a gas tank restored yet, so I had a spare laying around that I put fuel in and am testing for leaks off of the tractor so I don't ruin my paint. LOL. Overall, it is looking really nice though! Better than I was expecting.
