I worked for a while in Austria, and on one trip to Vienna we went to visit a friend of a friend who had been in a car accident and was in the big hosptital there.  You walked through the front door, to the right was the desk where you find out which ward/room a patient was in, to the left was the bar.  We spent about 10 minutes with the friend in his room and about the next 6 hours in the bar downstairs.  :hide:

Nice steup Terry!  Are you somewhere near Rockford?  Was wondering why you were a Danica fan.

the Shop Bar has been a dream for 5 years and this winter was the year. We entertain friends and have a gathering about 4 times a year. We built it on the cheap. Most expensive thing in it was the lights and wiring. We are hoping to ad a large screen next fall but the 32 inch is fine for now.

the fridge was a freebee from a friend so we cleaned it and I wrapped it in vinyl. Its just through the back door to my sign shop so on those evenings when its been a hectic day we meet with friends and listen to classic rock. I am really not a Danica fan but it was nice to see her stay up front for a change.

she does have some skills and eventually may be a contender and so good for her. I am really a Jr fan at heart

I really enjoy visiting friends after work and having a beer or two after a hard summers day.  Most of my closest friendships have developed in places like your bar.

Danica is definately talented.  Not bad to look at either!  I'm just sick and tired of her whining when things go wrong, she always had a tendency for it and her whining skills were fully developed when she drove for Michael Andretti (in Indycar).

Not trying to hijack the  thread but I don't think you can blame the whole thing on the new car. Sprint Cup drivers are so worried about points and not finishing high in the standings they just "play patty cake" for the whole race. You saw plenty of battling with 10 to go. All of a sudden the inside lane was moving while for the whole race no one would go there. I'd like to see them award points for each lap led. something like 10 pts. a lap. Kenseth dominated much of the race and had little to show for it. Go even farther. If there are 36 races, count only 34 of them for points. Allow drivers to 'throw out' their 2 worst finishes. Give them some incentive to lead laps and you'll see one heck of a race.

First, that is one hell of a setup you got there! Very nicely done.

Mike I agree, something needs to be done with Nascar, it has become a big parade until there is ten laps to go. This points system stinks and so do most of these pretty boy drivers! Lol! I really miss the days when the likes of Earnhardt, Elliot, Wallace, the Allisons and ole D.W. were tearing up the tracks. The good ole days!

These days the drivers make so much money that they aren't that desperate to finish a few spots better, and if they wreck the car trying to improve on a spot there will be hell to pay. My guy fought for every position tooth and nail right up till the day he died. I think he took great pride in where he finished. 2nd wasn't good enough, even if he had to shove you out the way! I think he would have raced for free. Checkers or Wreckers for me! Lol!

squonk, you would get my vote. But, if you do someday? Can you make them switch directions half way through the race? Now" that" would be fun to watch :teasing-whipyellow: :greetings-clappingyellow: .         THAT IS AN AWESOME BAR!!!!! We couldn't do that at my job. Being we are truck drivers and all. Not just because it is illegal. Mostly because none of us drivers would never leave the bar :greetings-clappingyellow: :greetings-clappingyellow: :greetings-clappingyellow: ...

Could you imagine if Buddy Baker, Cale Yarborough, The Allisons, Petty, Pearson & Dale Sr. were in that race yesterday? :jaw:

Yes Mike I can imagine that and I can guarantee you this, one of them would have won, not Jimmie Johnson.

We live in a dry town so we built our own gathering spot. We have always had a Christmas party and a summer party with our friends every year but its a much better party atmosphere now.

Hoping to finish the rest of the walls and floor before next winter. Its like a mini convention Center. If for some reason I fail to answer the phone I am probably having lunch at the

Posseville Bar & Grill. Planning a big Barbeque this spring once Leroy gets his Late Model out of the Fabrication shop. My buddy Gary who owns the building sponsors the late model and our back room becomes a car building shop every winter. I better get busy and finish the graphics for it as racing season is coming quickly.

Tried to talk him into red and white color scheme so I could Wheel Horse it up but that went over like a lead balloon. :ROTF:
