Kevbo 80 #1 Posted February 23, 2013 Happy weekend everyone! I just received an email tonight from a woman who had a 400 series Wheel Horse from 1985. I asked for pictures and saw the model was a 417-8...then I saw her asking price of $100 I was stunned! I immediately called and made arrangements for pick up. It had the original manual with it when it was bought in March of 1985 for $2,749. When we got there, the horse was living in a shed at the bottom of a hill. We had made the mistake of forgetting a battery so we had to push it up the hill by hand to jump it...was worth the effort! Once we got some gas in the carb and the tank it fired right up and boy did that 17HP Twin Kohler purr!! Enjoy the pictures! I'll post more once she's cleaned up!

I have been looking for a good Series II KT17 to replace my Series I on the C-175 and what you scored with the whole tractor is what I wish I could find. Wheel-N-It 2,968 #18 Posted March 3, 2013 Missed this post in the beginning Kevin due to my work, but had to reply as boy this 417 of yours is really nice! May be your best Horse for the buck yet! Good that yours has the Series-2 engine. I really like mine. Wish I could have got mine for $100 but mine is a year newer than yours and has louvers in the hood. We all know those louvers cost extra$ LOL LOL LOL
