Can a snow plow/blade #79253 be mounted on a 520xi ?

I had a non-RS person contact me last night about the adaptability of the plow I have for sale on CL and RS.... a #79253, and if it be work for a 520xi. I am not familiar with the 1991 520xi he has, so I was not able to answer his question. Does anyone know what differences therre are, and if the modifiying or parts purchase wouldn't be economically feasible. :confusion-scratchheadblue:  The individual already has the rear axle hith, but is wondering about the lift mechanism, primarily.

My RS Classified listing:  http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/classifieds/item/2207-48-snowdozer-blade-79253-complete-install/

I told the 520xi owner that someone on RS would know, and even the way to go about it if it's do-able.  I need the RS "brain trust" to weigh in.

Thanks

I took a quick look at the owners manual for this plow at the Toro site. The 260-series is smaller than the 5xi-series so it has different mounts and the blade index handle will be wrong. The 5xi plow is closer to a 520 plow with the extension than yours. He could look for a New Holland #716506006 which is exactly like the Toro 5xi blade, only in black. That is what I have for my 518xi.

With modifications yes, as I had just done this a month ago,1st pic before, 2cd pic after modifying to fit a 418-8 which should be the same as an '89 520h that DOESN'T have the swept forward front axle, BTW the angle handle will be outside of the footrest vs the classic style that sits inside next to the frame unless you change that also,Jeff.
