1054 axle keys

Anyone know what size the axle keys are in a 1054? Thanks in advance.

the axle keys are an odd size, longer than the later style keys used. the manual shows them as part number 937046 , #RX woodruff key. i managed to pick some up off ebay when i was redoing my 1054. parts tree has them for $7.08. check your toro dealer as well....

there is a manual in the manuals section of the forum that lists them.....

i spent a bunch of time looking around for these, most places had never heard of that size. my local napa was no help, mcmaster carr didnt have them, nor did grainger.

RX seems to be a recognized Woodruff number and Fastenal and others come up on a Goggle search. Listed as 1/4"x2-3/4" with an actual length of 2" here

I bought mine from parts tree, they have the Toro replacement keys that are origional style/shape

I bought some from my Toro dealer I believe they were $2.58 a piece. They had one in stock and had to order the other, I payed $2.00 to have them mail the second one to me as the round trip to the dealer was 25 miles.

toro part number 937046 and our price here at the dealer is 7.67 a peice,,,,hope this helps

Got some from fastenal today 1/4 by 2 3/4 for 1.65 each plus 3.00 shipping. Fit nice if anybody is interested i can post the part#.
