varosd 1,185 #2 Posted January 24, 2013 even with Gortex, poly pro/underarmour, wool etc....it's gotta suck. but that being said, if you work out there everyday, you do build up tolerance. ask any outdoor worker, military folks. glad I'm retired, and just have to ski in it! 6wheeler 603 #4 Posted January 25, 2013 I don't know if we ever build up a tolerance for it. But, I guess we just work around it. I can take the cold with no trouble, just as long as it isn't windy. Then it just seems to cut right through ya.
Rollerman 290 #5 Posted January 25, 2013 I can take the heat a lot better than the cold. To many years working in asphalt I guess. No one wants to help on a paveing crew in the summer, but come fall you get a lot more volunteers. Mike the cold weather would be bad enough, but I'm not sure I'd care for those scafolds. I have no problem with heights....but scafolds make me a little uneasy.

squonk 41,010 #7 Posted January 25, 2013 Plunger crew was on standby I was fortunate. I've been only been stuck inside an air handler for 2 days with the air whipping thru working on pneumatic systems.
