H60 Governor Linkage WH 551

Recommended Posts

Pilot101

I have a 551 that has an H60 on it. I believe I am missing the bracket and linkage assy. The throttle cable is connected to the governor arm towards the lower end.( the vertical part of the arm) and the upper part of the arm has linkage from there to the carb throttle. I am going to attempt to get some detailed pics. Also I am looking for the starter cup for the flywheel but the two part numbers I get , the cup is to small in diameter and will not allow the starter dawg assy to sit inside of it.. The part numbers I come up with after all the superceedings are 35287 and 37966. Hope this is enough info.on.

Drop down 9 or 10 topics to tecumseh h60 on this forum kiwi has some pictures posted that are the way all of mine are hooked up. It looks like you are hooked directy to the govenor and there should be a spring in the equation that will allow the govenor to do its job as it is now it cannot adjust itself.

Your current linkage setup will not allow for governed speeds. The pic shows your missing part.

Do you have or know of someone who has that assembly? If not I will search on through the forum to locate it. Thanks for the help.

You might check with Kelly. I bought a short block from him and he said he had removed the rest of the parts.
