I'm going to say RJ-35 about a 1956 but I'm not great at the early tractors, looks to be pretty complete.

what's it worth

Are you asking because you're just curious or are you planning on selling it?

That's one of the "creme de le creme" of Wheel Horse/Pond tractors. Like TT said it's a very early 55. It has the tank stand, and solid lift arm with no latching mechanism. If that steering wheel is cast aluminum it could be one of the first 100 55s made. Rumor is they only made 100 with cast aluminum then went to cast steel. What ever you do don't sell it. If you do, I wouldn't let it go for less than $1500! Bring it to the big show in PA this summer and the sky is the limit as to what you could sell it for!!! Yours even has the elusive large engine kill button there at the back of the hood. Yours is probably the most complete original I've seen. RJ55hunter is gonna love to see this one!!!

If they are original to that tractor than WOW that's a nice package. You can plan on getting some emails from a few of the members here inquiring about purchasing that tractor.

P.S. Looks like you are missing the original belt guard.

Like mine too :hide:

Mine has the aluminum wheel and tank stand. When I bought mine I paid $250 ish without motor (as you see it in first picture).

Nice tractor! Got to ask - what's the history of this gem (how did you come by it, etc.)?

We have the belt guard just not on it and we live about five minutes north of south bend where they were built. And a guy had it back in his barn.

Right - but he'll want the serial number too.

TT means the serial number on the engine. The B1200 is correct and it is assumed that is the original motor. Clay is putting together some history of these early 35's...

I would have to agree, very nice early 55, you even have the original and correct angled carb and plastic oil bath... no to mention the correct bronz reverse disc.

WHEEL HORSE BILL

Mine has the black regular steering wheel. I wish mine had the cast one but it doesn't o'well.

I hope to start my project within the next 2 weeks.I don't really know what year my rj is but it should be fun to restore.

my little girl wants me to paint it purple and says it going to be hers.I think I'll paint it red but still give it to her as a show tractor.

Comparing to what I already have, there is only 4 of these tractors with a lower engine serial # than yours......which is the only way to help date/track these tractors by any numbers. The tractors were never issued serial #'s until 1958. This tractor is very early.....nice find! I would really like to see pictures of the attatchments too. Good luck with it!
