HorseWhisperer 243 #1 Posted January 8, 2013 I'm scrolling through an ad and I discover this,it appears to be a 702-752 ?It appears to have a hy-2 set up and original wh tires and a bad red overspray rattle can paint job.Owner says it needs coil-300 bucks. My dilemma is its a 8 hour roundtrip.I would punch a gorilla to get this semi local and think it's near ridiculous to spend this kinda time traveling..........But................. smoreau 658 #2 Posted January 8, 2013 Road trips can be fun. Just need to take another WH gear head with you on your trip. For $300 it looks to have a nice hood and its complete. Looks like some kind of electrical switch on the left side of the dash. I have gone farther for less! just plan it out and have fun! The search for a good round hood is always fun! oldredrider 2,548 #3 Posted January 8, 2013 If you want it, go for it. What you don't want is regrets.
racinfool40 202 #4 Posted January 8, 2013 In my opinion a 702 with hy-2 and back rest for 300.00 I would have already left. :handgestures-thumbupright:
squonk 41,002 #5 Posted January 8, 2013 If you can afford it, retired ,or have all the time in the world plus an understanding family I'd go for it. It also depends on what you want it for. If you got the room and are a collector that adds in to it to. I can't keep anymore that I have now, (3). I look for deals that come with extra's like attachments ,weights ect that I want then sell off what I don't want. 2 hrs. is about it for me.
Jake Kuhn 1,554 #6 Posted January 8, 2013 wow thats a very good deal, might be worth the trip!
Kelly 1,029 #7 Posted January 8, 2013 Offer less money to help cover gas, the HY kit and back rest are worth the asking price, it does look like a 702, do you have to tow a trailer or do you have a truck, or mini van with seats removed,? i have hauled a few in the back of my suburban. I have way to many now here so unless it's something I REALLY want I stick to a hour or so one way.

HorseWhisperer 243 #9 Posted January 8, 2013 I don't think a fan could ever go wrong with a survivor like this.I just can't see driving an entire day for it.But then again, when will I see another?I know a gentleman 5 miles from me who has a 702 but is crusty and now it's gone through a flood and he won't come off it or any other of the hundred relics.I might have to hope it's sold by Saturday and let fate build its house of cards.I saw this before Thanksgivin and can't believe it's been relisted! Kelly 1,029 #24 Posted January 8, 2013 I bought a 1045 a few years ago, in CT, and a member here picked it up for me, and held on to it till the WH show in PA and took it there, I was at the show but had no way to get it home, but did touch it for the first time in months, then another member here took to IN, from the show, and then another from IN brought it to my house in MI to a meet and greet I had, this whole thing was done with planning and the GREAT members here on RS. As for driving to get one, about 6 hour round trip, but I don't do that any more, can't aford to feed my Suburban to do it.
