Final Nail In The Coffin for Valspar Restoration Series

Recommended Posts

rmaynard

I sent an inquiry to Valspar last week. I told them that my local Valspar dealer would not order Restoration Series paint for me. Just to be honest, I don't use the stuff, but I thought I would ask on behalf of others that did. Here is the reply that I got.

Robert,

Thank you for contacting Valspar regarding our Restoration Series paint. Unfortunately, that product line has been discontinued...

If we can be of further assistance, contact Consumer Relations at 877-825-7727.

Wow. Thats gonna be a big loss for the Tractors restorers. I know some guys at work use it for their full size tractors.

I have 3 gal. here for use on workers and such, I need more hardener though, but I'm sure I can substitute something.

I have a couple gallons, thinner, and hardener sitting at a friends house in Wisconsin. Good thing I had them pick it up for me. Getting it to Virginia has posed a different problem. :eusa-think:

I am starting to see some Rustoleum farm implement paint showing up.

Maybe a letter to them would be worth a shot.

They even sell through Tractor Supply and may be more willing to fill a void for the all the tractor folks.

Kelly if you can suggest a hardener to use with the Resto Series paint that would be swell!
