Kelly 1,029 #2 Posted January 6, 2013 (edited) What lock washer???? Or do you mean the C clip or snap ring? on top of the spindle? if so they are not made to support the weight of the tractor, flip the axle and put the spindles in the right way, another thing to watch if dropping the front a long ways is the oil level in the engine will change with the tilt, most of these engines are splash lube from the bottom of the pan. WHEEL HORSE BILL 7 #3 Posted January 6, 2013 So I can't drop the front with that axle correct. How can I drop the front end is there a different way. I so want the look.

TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #6 Posted January 6, 2013 I firmly believe that proper hitch design and weight placement is much more important on a stock tractor. I know, I know..... it's all about the 'look'. I used an axle from a B series LAWN tractor, C series spindles, and 6" front wheels with triple-ribs on an old Raider I stuck together for the fun of it. (rear tires are 23-10.50X12) Here's a video of my son putting it to work: For all of you non-believers ~ that's just a stock 10hp HH-100 Tecumseh with a straight pipe. :P
chris11 184 #7 Posted January 6, 2013 I agree with Terry, with the engine not having a oil pump. your better not lowering it . mine i made spindles but i also have a oil pump on engine.
