Bought a black hood at Portland last year, hood only that is! Wanted to aapt to old Charger or similar size tractor I have. Seems the hood is longer and meets dash with angles on orig tractor. NOW, I have bought a steering set-up complete with dash and st.wheel off a C-125 on epay. Looks like the larger angled dash I need for hood. NOW, want to know if the steering shaft is gonna just drop down into my Charger style frame and dash line up to my uprights? Thinking it will or be awful close. That's the Plan for now at least, hope I don't burst my Bubble when actually in hand!

The parts you have are compatible with the 1978 & newer "wide-body" hoodstand.

I would think that trying to adapt them to the earlier narrow hoodstand would be more bother than it's worth.

The only exception would be the 'glass hood used on the 1978/79 C-161 twin models.

They were made to work with the old-style dash, but might still require modification to use with a pre-1978 tractor.
