Recommended Posts

BOWTIE

THIS IS THE ANOTHER PICTURE OF ME, MY BROTHER AND MOTHER ON THE TRACTOR. MY BROTHER IS SETTING ON THE SEAT AND I'M STANDING ON THE DECK. PICTURE IS DATED DECEMBER 1959. THE PICTURE WAS IN THE SUMMER OF 1959 I THINK. I WOULD BE 4 YEARS OLD,MY BROTHER WOULD BE 6 YEARS OLD AND MOTHER WAS 35 YEARS OLD. HOW TIME FLIES BY.

I'M NOT JUST SURE WHEN WE BOUGHT THE TRACTOR. I'M EITHER 3 OR 4 YEARS OLD. I REMEMBER THE TRACTOR MY FATHER TRADED IT IN FOR A 857. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A MOTORHEAD. IT WAS A KOHLER 4HP, THE RECOIL STARTER HAD A STEEL CABLE INSTEAD OF ROPE. I BELIEVE THE POINT COVER HAD A KILL BUTTON. THE PICTURE WAS PRINTED IN DECEMBER 1959. THAT IS A OHIO SUMMER PICTURE FOR SURE.

I too grew up in the day of the black & white photos taken on a Kodak Brownie camera. I am typing this while looking at a Brownie sitting on the shelf.

Thanks for the memories!

A Wheel Horse moment in time and it does not get much better than this!

I think these old photos seem to show the love of Wheel Horse tractors even better than the current photos!

Thanks for posting this great one.

Great pic Bowtie. Sorry to hear of your brothers passing, but its great to hear your Mom is still with you. My Mom will be 87 on the 20th of this month. I live next door to the house I grew up in, and my Mom is still living there.
