fourwheels0 191 #28 Posted December 31, 2012 well i ended up taking the motor out. got it running on the bench. runs great. the solenoid was bad and spark plug as questionable. so those got replaced. it needs some wiring fixed as it won't turn off with the key. gonna paint the tins tomorrow while it's out of the tractor. 1 question though..... should the pull start be red or silver/aluminum? 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
fourwheels0 191 #29 Posted January 2, 2013 well DUH!!!!!! lol. found out the key switch needs to be grounded for it to shut off. tins are painted as well as the pull start. both red. got a tire for the front. it should be back together and getting it's test drive this weekend i'll post pics when it's done. thanks for all the info on this guys (you know who you are). The factory set up for the dozer blade used a foot pedal that connects to the pin with a small chain to pull it when angling the blade. A small rope like clothes line is used that hooks to each top corner of the blade with S hooks and drapes around the steering wheel. rigling 0 #42 Posted January 6, 2013 My grandson is 11 and we are just finishing a restoration on his 400. His dad traded some computer parts for it and it looks just like fourwheels0 tractor. It appears that we have everything included, such as exhaust guard,belt covers, mower deck, fenders, hitch,etc. WE are waiting on new tires and seals for the transaxel.
