How do I adjust parking brake on c-175?

How do I adjust parking brake on c-175? I can not push the pedal far enough to set the parking brake.

You will have to loosen the brake band to get the parking brake to work. Back off on the brake rod nut that is attached to the brake band until the parking brake will catch.

That would be nut #32 in this diagram.

The procedure is described in your tractor's owner's manual. This one may not be the exact manual for your C-175, but the brake adjustment procedure is the same:

Don, are you thinking his brake is just adjusted too tight?

And Torino, is your brake dragging at all, even when it's not engaged?

Don, are you thinking his brake is just adjusted too tight?

And Torino, is your brake dragging at all, even when it's not engaged?

I was thinking he had an 8 speed. If it is tighten down close to the drum there isn't enough travel to engage the parking brake. Loosing doesn't effect the brakes just makes to peddle travel longer.
