8spd seal

Changed oil in the b100's trans a couple weeks ago with some amsoil severe gear and now the seal behind the brake is leaking

my question is can i replace the seal from the outside or do i have to tear it down?

Also what would the part # be

Yes you can replace the seal with out splitting the trans..I use a small pick or small screw driver to remove them..Might have to work at it a little but it will come out..

WH part# 100441 most time's you can get them at Napa just have them cross reference the WH P/N.

I have a chart that shows part 100441 is CR7410....for NAPA it would be NOS7410. Probably should confirm this with other members though. Stevasaurus would be a good guy to ask.....

7410 is the CR number (now days SKF #) for a WH 100441

Just remember to smooth the shaft carefully with some very fine sandpaper and make sure there are no burrs on it when you go to slide the new seal on or it will tear and it will still leak. Ask me how I know this! :banghead:
