Clone of KenB's Custom Suburban ....

Recommended Posts

stevebo

Well this is looking a lot like Ken's custom Suburban (not near as pretty tho). Once my son (Brennan who is 5 years old) saw Cole's (Ken's Custom Burban) he has been asking me to build him a "hot rod". So.... here is the start. She is a strong runner and I may only paint the wheels. I think they will end up having black wheels and leaving the tractor paint as is...

Craig,

Can you change the other pics too?

Yep. Initially. just save 'em as a .jpg file instead of .bmp...then they'll upload here no problems.

I'm thinking Steve, this one might even be cooler than Kens. :)

Lookin good Steve, Brennan must love it! I have been thrashing on Cole's new Hot Rat. (Cole named it) I'm gonna get off a little easy on this one as he has decided against repainting it. I'm proud of him! Tonight I welded 11 holes closed on the hood, welded on new tank straps and did some creative weathering of the paint to blend it all in. She looks so much better than yesterday. It will still take me a few months to finish it though, lots of details to do.

Just a quick update. I purchased a tombstone front weight bracket from Mike (Racinfool here) that he is making. I installed it and added the weight. The front tires are not filled so the front end is pretty light. This makes a world of difference for sure. I also changed out the drive pulley to a smaller one and a smaller belt. Took it for a quick spin and it is much faster now.

Ken... this bad boy is ready to line them up .... lol
