SousaKerry 501 #2 Posted October 23, 2012 Nice job, any idea what kinda load you can put on those torsion axles? I just picked up an old camper trailer frame myself that I intend to rebuild into my new horse hauler.

Tap53 57 #4 Posted October 23, 2012 Nice job, any idea what kinda load you can put on those torsion axles? I just picked up an old camper trailer frame myself that I intend to rebuild into my new horse hauler. Thanks, Each axle is rated 500lbs x 2 = 1000lbs, thats all he wanted for his snowmobile, but there are many options available..

Duff 206 #6 Posted October 24, 2012 Wow! GREAT looking trailer! Nice work! (Wish you lived closer to New Hampshire.....) Duff
KC9KAS 4,741 #7 Posted October 24, 2012 Nice looking trailer. Did you build it from a kit or everything custom made? I would want a larger trailer. I have a 4' 6" X 10' trailer made from an old pop-up camper and it is only good for 1 GT at a time.....much more than 1000# and the fenders set on the tires! Rooster 191 #11 Posted October 25, 2012 Nice job, any idea what kinda load you can put on those torsion axles? I just picked up an old camper trailer frame myself that I intend to rebuild into my new horse hauler. I have a 16' trailer I built from a 19' camper. I cut 3 feet off because in Kansas 16' or shorter doesn't need tagged. I have hauled over 3000 lbs on it, that put it on the stops!

AMC RULES 37,124 #13 Posted October 25, 2012 Love the tilt deck on that one...will all five of them be configured the same?
Tap53 57 #14 Posted October 25, 2012 Love the tilt deck on that one...will all five of them be configured the same? Craig, 4 will be the same, one will be 8x10 for 2 snowmobiles, with 2-160 lb lift supports and 2 small shocks under the bed to soften the drop of the bed, havent figured out the shock setup yet but that will be easy to do.
