steve k 82 #1 Posted October 20, 2012 Picked this up in PA today! This was well cared for over the years. Rear doesn't leak and is full, motor doesn't smoke and runs great. It came with chains, a 42 inch plow and the mower deck. I took the plow off put the deck on and mowed today! IT amazes me what this 6hp will do. By the way what model deck is this? rmaynard 15,406 #3 Posted October 20, 2012 (edited) And a nice original seat too! Deck looks like a 5-1361, or 5-2361 36" rear discharge. Edited October 20, 2012 by rmaynard

CasualObserver 3,408 #8 Posted October 21, 2012 Deck should be 5-2321 32" I think. Commando 6 used 6x12 rear tires so if it were a 36", it would stick out farther. The 36" is more common on the Commando 8 which used 8.50 wide tires on the rear. Sent from my Galaxy S iii with Tapatalk

steve k 82 #12 Posted October 21, 2012 I FOUND the tag on the deck, you are right Maynard, its a 5-2361. I mowed about 2 hrs today with it instead of my deere, it was fun!!
glen1 1 #13 Posted October 22, 2012 Nice looking tractor. I have one just like it, but with the paint being more faded. If you don't mind my asking, what are these going for these days, just curious, not considering selling?
Racinbob 11,030 #14 Posted October 27, 2012 I love to restore these beauties. But I think even I would give that thing a good cleaning and leave as is. Great find!
COMMANDO6 20 #15 Posted November 7, 2012 Congrats on the find! The Techy has a bad reputation for some reason, but it works real hard. I love my Commando 6 to death. But it's in pieces now... And I have (but rarely use) a 36 inch deck for it. It does stick out some, but it works nice.
krazy_horse 59 #16 Posted November 7, 2012 Nice tractor and I have become a Tecumseh lover as both my 550 and 653 have them! ...krazy_horse
