Zagray Farm Tractor Show

Recommended Posts

I think we far outnumbererd the amount of Cub Cadets at the show. Back in the day the Cub's had a much larger following. I'm friends with the Cub guys that always set up at Zagray. I used to be on their team, they were wondering when I'm gonna switch back, just can't do it!

I'm in the process of stitching together the panoramic close up of us. It was hard to take the pictures due to the limited room we had to work with. This show was great and I will definitely be going again. In the meantime here are some other group pictures!!!

As always I came home with much more than I went there with. I was surprised with the prices (they are very reasonable) at the show. I got a toasted 58 RJ with a k90 and schnakee recoil (both need work) for $45, a honda 5.5 pw motor for $10 (runs great) another k91 Kohler complete for $25 and a few other goodies...

KenB hooked me up with some leather to cover the wood seat on my 2 seater---- Thanks again Ken

I scored another very early production RJ58 with the round, 3 hole hubs. This one has an ID sticker but it is covered with tape from when it was painted. This could be one of the lowest serial numbers out there for the 58. Under 500 out of 20,000, maybe ??? Thanks for the pedal for it Steve

Nice to see everyone again

I would have to agree, it was a great show this year. I didn't do so bad myself. I was able to pick up a nice frount mount sickle for my Rj35.

Ok, I stitched the 3 images of the group together. Unfortunately when I took the pictures, I didn't get enough overlap right near John's 2 seater so there is a little blemish in that area. This is the best I could make it. I guess photobucket can't handle the wide picture so it's not showing it as good as it came out. If you want a copy of the actual image, PM me and I will send you it.

It was probably the biggest turnout Ive ever seen at the fall show. As always it was nice to see everyone and give Steve a little "salad dressing" ribbing :) Looking forward to the spring show already!

Good WH showing indeed. Had alot of fun, as I've never been to Zagray before. Looks like one not to miss again though. Sold a couple of items,(thanks John), but threw a rod in an old 1937 B & S engine I had though. :*****: Great to see everyone again. Perhaps next year things will slow down a bit, and I could get out more.

So, was this the last show for the year or are there any others? Real bummer if there aren't any more.

Ken, this is what I use to keep track of the upcoming shows/dates.

Not much left it seems. I went to the Brooklyn show this summer, not so good. There were some weather issues which might of kept some sellers away on Saturday, but even on Sunday it was real quiet.

Russ,

I sent you the picture but it's not right. I will rework the picture with the stitching software and try again.

Ken - we usually finish off the season with the Jacktown Antique Engine show in Bangor, PA. Check out www.jacktown.org. This year it's on the 19th and 20th of October and it's a really great show and swap meet. The flea market usually has some good deals on WH parts too.

I expect to be there this year but there is a chance I will miss it due to a relative having surgery just prior to the 19th.

I normally go also and see Matt. Its nice to walk around the flea market is pretty good as Matt said. Just ask him how mad me both were when we missed a 854 or 653 (idr) with a snow plow, mower deck, and wheel horse wheel weights for $50 in pretty good shape too.

They say Jacktown is a really great show to be at. Lots of vendors from all over the place. (Still haven't been there myself, but am hopeful for next year).

Hey Jeff, I'll take a copy of the panaramic as well when you get a chance.

Jacktown is about 7 hrs. away from me, kinda far but doable. I'd have to bring the Grand Cherokee over driving my truck if I decide to go that is for sure.

Ken, I think you need to recheck the directions. Jactown is only 4hrs away from me and I'm all the way in eastern Connecticut. Since you live in western CT I'll bet it's only 2.5 hrs away from you.

The address to the show is 1229 Richmond Rd, Bangor, PA 18013-9676.
