bwh3200 1 #1 Posted September 30, 2012 I purchased a 520H with 324 hours on it from a neighbor which is in very good shape. I did a tune up,changed fluids, belts and had to replace the voltage rectifier. Everything works great and it has few signs of use. However I do not need it as my lawn is only 1/3 acre and i already have a Cub Cadet (old school). The 520 has a 48" deck. I think the year is around 1996. Question is how much should I be asking for the mower? I don't won't to ask too much but i don't won't to get taken advantage of either, what would be a fair price? Thanks Barry.
Challenger 27 #3 Posted September 30, 2012 Here in Central New York that machine, NEXT SPRING, could bring $2000 - $2500. If you need to sell NOW, I'd be hesitant to take less than $1800.

SAM58 30 #6 Posted October 2, 2012 I THINK IT IS OLDER THAN A 1996, THAT WAS THE 50TH ANIVER. WITH GOLD TRIM. i WOULD SAY IF YOU CHECK THE SERIAL NUMBER YOU WILL FINE IT TO BE AROUND 1990 - 1992 MODEL... IT LOOKS TO HAVE THE OLDER STYLE STEERING WHEEL, AND NO CLUTCH BELT GUARD, WITH NO PLACE TO ATTACH ONE. ABOUT $1000.00... BY THE WAY, WHAT DID YOU PAY FOR IT??? :eusa-think: :eusa-think:
CRE1992 135 #7 Posted October 2, 2012 It looks like a 1994-1995. But I think its a 1995.
bwh3200 1 #8 Posted October 2, 2012 I will post the serial number when i get home. For some reason i'm thinking 96 but may be wrong. Barry
Challenger 27 #9 Posted October 2, 2012 It's not a 1996, that was the 50th with gold accents. Last year I sold my 1994 with 1120 hours, 60" deck, 2 stage blower for $2700 This year I helped a friend sell a very low hour (200? I can't recall) one owner, 52" deck and 2 stage for $3990. In my opinion we could have gotten $4200 or more if he had waited a couple more weeks for prime spring mowing season.
bwh3200 1 #10 Posted October 2, 2012 5901337 is the SN# on the sticker under the seat, whatever year that makes it. Barry
Forest Road 594 #11 Posted October 2, 2012 It's a 1995. With those hours and a good deck it would pull $1500 - 2000 in NY NJ.
