suburban 400 steering assembly picture please

does anyone have a picture of the steering under the front of the frame for a suburban?suburbans are new to me,at least this is the first one i have had and its missing some of the steering,so i would like to see what its missing and should look like.

Hi Jim, we dont see you around here much anymore! :thumbs:

I've never had a 400 but I think its all the same stuff as the pre 63 tractors (just with the front axle flipped the other way).

I'll see what photo's I have from my Lawn Ranger.

Thanks Mike that does help,now i know the drag link that looks like a newer tie rod is original,i was thinking someone might have added it.Im missing some of the steering gear under frame,it has the gear on the end of the steering shaft but is missing another gear and whatever moves the drag ling.Thats a good idea i may give Jon a call.

That gear can be a PITA to find, or at least a good one anyway. The teeth wear down or break when the steering wheel is turned to hard.

Wish I had pictures of the drag linkage before I cleaned it up, it was very badly rusted and all I did was scotch brighted the crap out of it, and that is the way it turned out. Anyway, glad I had the pictures you needed.
