Leaking hydro trans?

Hi guys, Well I now have two hydro's and both of them leak oil...VERY BAD! If you let them sit over night they will leak almost all of it out. They are on a early 70's charger 10 and a 875. I'll get some pics of the trans up this weekend. Just wondered if anyone has had these issues before? Just curious if its a simple fix. Or do I need to tear the whole trans apart? Thanks, Jake

#1 Is this a sudden onset

#2 where is it leaking from, Axle seal, drain plug, housing gasket, hydromotor to transaxle gasket?

# 3 do they have lift cylinders

I have several hydros but none suddenly started leaking as badly as you describe.

I had a Charger 12 that leaked like that. The O-rings on the dc shaft was brittle. You could fill it and run all day wouldn't leak till it set for awhile. Is there oil in the bottom of the dash tower?
