DD Living History Farm in Roxbury,CT. SUPER Pic heavy!!!

Went with SteveBo and our boys to check this place out today. SALTYWRIGHT (Russ) had told me about it a few years ago but I had never got around to going and it's only 20 minutes from home. It is privately owned and only open by appointment. There over 179 tractors etc from the late 1800's and up.

The unbelievable part is every single tractor, truck etc runs and operates/drives as it should :omg: .

Here are some picture to drool over. There were more things to look at but we were chasing the kids around.

Hey Russ,

Didn't see a garden tractor shed. They just put up a new large building (#6). Didn't see any garden tractors at all.

Here is a video of a cool "truck". It has a opposing cylinder engine under and in the middle of it.

Wow, what a great place. A real tribute to an era when our manufacturing base hadn't been imploded. Many of those pieces border on being works of art (imho).

And to think, I spent many years just across the border in NY, and never knew the place existed. Hopefully, I'll find time to get up there.

They don't just collect any old tractor they can find. They look for the odd and rare ones. The grandson of the founder told us that one of the large prairie tractors they have is one of three left in existence. The grandfather paid $80,000. for it in 1985! At auction today he said it would go north of $400,000. They also have others that are one of's only a handful known left. It's hard to wrap your head around the fact that everything they have actually runs and operates. I have seen large collections before but many were static only and maybe a few of the displays actually ran. This collection is just amazing!

The garden tractors are gone, they belonged to a restorer who is no longer here. These pics are awesome from Saturday. :D

The barns will open back up in the Spring. We got a 1934 Mack Truck, an International Mogul Junior and a new Eagle this Fall. We hope you would still like to have your Meet & Greet at the DD Living History Farm.

We'll be glad to arrange for this if you have any dates in mind.  It's still colder in the barns than it is outside but the calendar is pretty much open so far.  We just got a Fiat from the Tired Iron Auction in NY state.  It is reported to be the only one in North America.  We're still checking on that.
