hcminis 1,573 #1 Posted September 13, 2012 Picked up two Lawn Rangers, one Lawn Ranger Plow, and this Bronco 14 yesterday as a package deal. Charged the battery, checked fluids, cleaned spark plug, and shot a little gas in the carburetor....away she went. Will start cleaning tomorrow and get better pictures.
whfan74 2,068 #2 Posted September 13, 2012 Nice and clean looking Bronco 14 you snatched up! Glad to hear that it didn't take much to get her moving under her own power. That one looks like a keeper in my book! Congrats!
546cowboy 301 #3 Posted September 13, 2012 Nice tractor but I see the electric PTO is missing and those are hard to find. I had one of those a couple years ago but someone had cut the crankshaft off so you couldn't use the PTO. Bummer! I really did like it though. :handgestures-fingerscrossed:
Zeek 2,286 #4 Posted September 13, 2012 Look like it's in good shape :)

Actually Lynn it looks as though it is sitting on the left running board. Hopefully it is still in good shape and wasn't taken off because it is toast. hcminis 1,573 #6 Posted September 13, 2012 Thanks everyone. Yup Scott, it was just sitting on the running board. Put it back on and can see it engage so works great. Down side is I don't have a deck to test it out. SO, now looking for a deck and snow plow.
AMC RULES 37,143 #7 Posted September 13, 2012 Nice score, everything shown looks barely used.
hcminis 1,573 #9 Posted September 13, 2012 Needs a new throttle cable because it won't lock when you turn it. Plus, need a lighter and electric clutch pull knob. Anyone have a picture of the Bronco with a mower deck mounted? Oh, forgot to ask. What is the difference between the Bronco and a C series tractor?
Wheel Horse Kid 105 #10 Posted September 13, 2012 Nice looking Bronco there!
jay in nc 210 #11 Posted September 13, 2012 the 71 bronco has push-pull throtle & choke cables , the 72 bronco has up & down throtle & choke controls, check the hood 71s some had a racing stripe the same colors as the hood decals. the differences between cs & broncos are the cs use the later tatch-a- matic with forward mule-drive. but these are very easy to re fit to these tractors. they are my favorite tractor & i will post pictures of my 72 bronco soon. you picked up a nice unit & i hope you enjoy it. hcminis 1,573 #13 Posted September 14, 2012 Thanks Jay for posting the pictures. Mine is a 71 since it has the push/pull choke and throttle. Thought it had that type of deck so I am in need of a deck and everything associated to attach to the tractor. Hope to get a snow blade as well since the axle bracket is already there. Thanks again for the info.

hcminis 1,573 #18 Posted September 18, 2012 Thanks again everyone. Now if I only had a mowing deck and/or snow blade to test the beast.....
Trouty56 567 #19 Posted September 18, 2012 About that twist throttle cable, there was talk of drilling and pinning the end in various threads. I just want to say that I did it and it works out great. Maybe you can try it also. I used the smallest pin I could buy...3/32 I think. sent via mobile....
