sadixon49 11 #3 Posted September 9, 2012 This tractor was bought from it's original owner, in fact I have it's original bill of sale with the info I got with it. It was sold 04/20/88 for $ 2750, serial 29269, with 42" rear discharge deck # 82760. The blower is a little problematic however. It was bought used after the original purchase, and I am having trouble making sense of the #s on the blower. The model on the blower reads 6 0100 6, serial # 771621, I can't figure these #s out as they don't appear to jive with any model of 37" blower. steve
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,026 #4 Posted September 9, 2012 I think the 1971 model 6-0100 was replaced by 6-0200 for 1972-73 which shows up at Toro as a 32". Garry
sadixon49 11 #5 Posted September 9, 2012 The actual blower portion is 30" and would be 32" without wings. My blower has wings to make it 37". steve
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,026 #6 Posted September 9, 2012 The 6-9112 sold 1970-72 was likely the completing package for the 1971 6-0100 basic unit. Garry

sadixon49 11 #9 Posted September 10, 2012 Really nice looking tractor...get a good deal on the complete pkg? Yea, I think I got a fair deal. That tractor is in nearly new condition, I had to look long and hard to find any rust or paint chips. The engine runs great and doesn't use any oil. I paid $300 for the tractor with a 42"RD deck and a 6-0100 37" blower. It actually looks better than the pictures, my camera has done something wierd to the colors. The deck works fine, I just mowed my yard with it Friday. The blower needs a little work, I think it will run fine, but it could use a little TLC, paint and lube. steve

Wheel Horse Kid 105 #14 Posted September 10, 2012 Great looking 312-8! They are great little tractors! Any more pics?? How's that, steve WOW! That is a nice one. I actually just sold my '86 312-8 last week. It was a great tractor, but I want to upgrade to a hydrostatic with hydraulic lift and have a little more hp. Good Luck with yours and thanks for sharing! Irv 115 #15 Posted September 11, 2012 The 312-8 is a great all around tractor and it looks like you got an awsome one at a steal. If I were you I'd keep an eye out for a 42" blower (newer style) for it. I have 2 312-8s and have a 42" deck on one and 42" blower on the other.
