Kelly 1,029 #4 Posted August 30, 2012 Any long frame plow will work, does not even need the angle handle, the 520's with the swept axle all need a ext. kit, it moves the blade about 4" forwards, it is a 3 piece kit rear bracket that hooks the the back of the blade to move the mount location, a center lift relocation mount, and the angle handle that is bent backwards to clean the PTO and makes it easier to reach. The kits bring more money than the blades do, in the $200-250 range for a complete kit with out the blade so if you find one cheaper buy it.
Sparky-(Admin) 21,312 #5 Posted August 30, 2012 Heres pictures of my extension kit so you'll know what the extension kit consists of. This piece is what extends the plow framp forward so when angled the plow blade does not hit the front tires. This piece goes in the plow frame (where the lift attachment point is) to move the lift point back so it will still mate up with the tractors lift arm. I also have the lever used to angle the blade which has a 4"bend or offset in it to bring the angle lever back within reach of the operator, and to make sure the lever clears the PTO. Sorry, no pictures of it right now. I had planned on putting this kit up for sale when winter started showing its ugly face (Octoberish) but send me a message if your interested. Mike.....
