welderman85 53 #1 Posted August 30, 2012 Hi I was just given a new cub 1042. Its nice for free and only had sixty hours but it sure isn't a wheelhorse. The problem I have is I mow 4 acres and have to het off the tractor to move stuff a lot. Is there anyway to unhook the seat pressure switch. Its a pain . Thanks
diesel cowboy 263 #2 Posted August 30, 2012 There should be two wires under the seat on the right hand side where it pivots. I think you just have to unhook it an leave it be but it might need to be looped. If you do it just make sure the mower is off otherwise it wont shut off on its own anymore. Just my opinion cause i've sold a few of them and had to work on them but it probably wont last long if you're cutting 4 acres with it as its not a very heavy duty machine and was designed for a lot smaller lawn. Hope this helps
welderman85 53 #3 Posted August 30, 2012 Thank you I will try that tonight. I figured that I will wear it out pretty quick. I was cutting with a 314h for the last 3years it cut great but my dad gave me this. Its a nice little mower but like you say no very heavy duty.
Jim_M 178 #4 Posted August 30, 2012 It's a normally open switch, when you sit on the seat it makes the connection, when you get off the seat it opens the circuit. Just unplug it and jumper the wires at the plug.
