Prater 75 #1 Posted August 20, 2012 Just curious how everyones garden has faired through the heat? I lost a few tomato plants but overall looks like everything is coming back out and starting to produce again.
Jim_M 178 #2 Posted August 20, 2012 Mine did well but I had to water more than ever before. A lot of things have finished producing so they were pulled out, the ground tilled and a fall crop of lettuce, peas and spinach were planted in their place.
Prater 75 #3 Posted August 20, 2012 We ahve a second growing season for spring and summer veggies. i attended a fall garden class a month or so ago, it had master gardeners speaking about the next season and how we could plant just like spring and beat the first frost. Even extending with covers to make the most out of our garden. Going to try and see how it makes.
Jim_M 178 #4 Posted August 20, 2012 We have a little different climate up here. Normally it's hard to get anything in the ground before late April or early May. This year was an exception, I got stuff started in March and picked my first tomato on Memorial day.
