Wheel Horse Kid 105 #1 Posted August 6, 2012 I came across a Wheel Horse C-160 for sale the other day that I really like. It has a running K341 in it, but I think that the motor is shot. I have a rebuilt K341 that I purchased a couple of months ago that would work great for it. I would like to know from the guys who have or have had C160's in the past how they like them. What is good and what is bad about them? Thanks! Taylor
JackC 617 #2 Posted August 6, 2012 I have one that I bought to restore. The motor smokes a little on start up but otherwise runs fine. The transmission is weak in reverse and I suspect a check valve but have not looked into it yet. I have never heard anyone say they did not like theirs. Here is a picture of a restored one. I thing they are a great example of the Wheel Horse brand. Here is mine all original:

nylyon-(Admin) 7,272 #9 Posted August 19, 2012 Here's mine: The good: Accepts many, many attachments, decks, loaders, tillers etc. Has a strong 16HP Kohler engine which have an ample supply of repair parts available. Automatics have hydraulic lift which is very handy for snow blowers. The bad: If kept original the earlier C-160 seats (while great looking) are uncomfortable. This is easily fixed with an aftermarket seat. Simply because they are older, the hydraulics begin to leak and require repair / replacement. Hydraulic pumps are expensive to repair but they are overall solid. The C-160 is one of the more desired Wheel Horses so if you have the opportunity to get one, do it you can always sell it later on.
