trading1two 12 #1 Posted July 23, 2012 I found this in a barn at a tag sale Saturday on my way to the show in Ct. Neeedless to say i was so excited that i never made it to the show. The woman i bought it from said her late husband had just finished restoring it . He passed away 3 weeks ago. And that he had bought it around 1960. It is in supurb condition, as i pulled both wheels off and the bearings were fine and loaded with grease. The only id i found was a manafactures tag welded on the steel under the rear frame.I can read the number 59-???? ( i think3015). Trailer bed tilts down by releasing a safety lock then pulling a small lever , on the draw-bar. (Silver) Draw-Bar also pivots 45 degrees left or right.

CasualObserver 3,408 #4 Posted July 23, 2012 Yes, I have more information for you... but what makes you say this one is a Wheel Horse? Your's looks like a lot of pieces have been fixed/replaced with current parts. There were two models of this trailer that were actual Wheel Horse trailers....(they're snowmobile trailers by the way... so he would have bought it around 1970 when Wheel Horse was in the snowmobile market) The rest of them were sold as the manufacturers name brand as an Allied Attachment for garden tractors and were a little heavier gauge steel and had a rounded faring at the front. They were all made by SnowCo of Omaha Nebraska. Wheel Horse model 9-0501 was a SnowCo model 637 and Wheel Horse 9-0511 was a SnowCo model 863. SnowCo made tons of trailers that were badged out under various company names, as well as their own. Most people probably recognize their name from boat trailers. There have only been three trailers found that I know of... two singles and my double. If your's is a real WH, that would make the fourth. If you want to see what original trailers look like... I have the two place trailer... and I still haven't painted it back to the right colors. I use it every year to take a couple things to our show at LeSueur.
