Another new guy checking in! C120 Automatic

Recommended Posts

silverbullet02

Got a new to me Wheel Horse. C120 Automatic. I'll attach a bunch of pictures below here, but how do you break down the serial number? I searched and found a thread on it last week, but now I can't find it. Anyway, it runs great, just needs a little tlc. Has a few holes in the deck that need patched up, but that's no big deal. I'm thinking of tearing it down and cleaning it up and repainting it sometime over the next couple winters here. I'll have to get all new stickers before I start. I'm impressed how most of the stickers are actually in decent shape.

Are there any big things I have to watch out for or check with this rig? I'll change the oil in the tranny soon just for good measure. Pretty excited to start using it.

As far as finding parts, like pulley belt guards, the cover in front of the seat, throttle knob, etc... are those best found on ebay or are there other places to find replacement parts?

I appreciate any help, here are some pictures!

make sure when you change the oil and filter in the tranny to use the right kind of filter, it may look like an automotive filter but it ain't and if you use one you'll be looking for a new tranny.
