Blasterdad 2,692 #2278 Posted February 22, 2023 Haley Reinhart's vocal range is truly astounding, she can go from the power of Celine Dion to the rasp of Linda Ronstadt effortlessly.

I love me some Skynyrd, I listen to them ALL the time and love all there songs, they were a great band BUT they are definitely NOT the same without Ronnie. I even have the album you posted here too. I like the acoustic versions though........ 1

Several decades ago, my wife and I were on a weekend road trip somewhere, I don't even remember where to at this point, but it doesn't matter. One of our stops for dinner was a little dive where we had the pleasure of listening to a guy on stage playing an acoustic guitar and singing. I had just finished paying our bill and was coming back to the table when he started playing this tune, and I gently but firmly indicated to my wife that we were staying for a few extra minutes to hear the rest of it. Somehow she's still with me after all these years.

Many people just associate Skynyrd with crazy redneck hillbilly music but Ronnie Van Zant was great song writer. Not a bunch of meaningless word mumbo jumbo puzzles that require interpretation. This popped up in the youtube list. Love this song too. Unexpectedly Marshall Tucker Band stole the show at The Round Up concert in Philly 1981 The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, 38 Special, Marshall Tucker, and The Allman Brothers Band Those huge concerts were a teenagers dream and we had so much fun!!!!! 100,000 people all with the same ticket, no assigned seating. I couldn't make it to the Live Aid concert. Here's the list of JFK concerts 1 1
