Digger 66 3,488 #1404 Posted November 1, 2020 People can say what they want about GVF , but a tune that grabs me and reels me in like "My Way Soon" is way up on my list . 3

Four kids playing a raucous show and the crowd sits stunned for a few seconds before clapping at the end of the first track. Here's the full performance. echris 1,425 #1409 Posted November 2, 2020 Robert Plant was 19 years old in that video. Same with Bonham the drummer. I think Page and Joes were 22. They were just kids. Crazy.

Crazy. often if not most times the early years are the best first time I saw The Police it was in a small bar ; they 'toured' in a station wagon and used rented equipment ... raw .. the last time I saw them was in an arena with sophisticated stage / sound system and thousands of people Edited November 2, 2020 by tom2p
echris 1,425 #1411 Posted November 2, 2020 The small shows are the best. My brother-in-law called me at work one day in 1992 and said, "Brian May (Queen's guitarist) is playing a free show, wanna go?" He was touring his first solo album, Back To The Light. Of course I replied, "Yes!" He said, It's in Baltimore. And it's tonight... It was around noon and I was at work. In NY. When I got off the phone, my boss asked me what the call was about and I told him and he said, "You should go." Tony was thee best boss. I picked my brother-in-law up and we drove from 1 hr N of NYC to Baltimore and got there just in time for the show. It ended up being at a bar. Hammerjacks. We were standing about 15' away from Brian May. Being served beer. It was nirvana. (not the band, duh) Here's a cover from the The Small Faces he did on that album/tour. That signature Brian May guitar gives me chills. Wish I could sound like that when I play.

They’re from Frankenmuth, MI. Fun fact if y’all didn’t know, they got their name from their landlady... Greta Van Fleeten (sp?) and she told them something along the lines of “you’ll never get anywhere it’s a name like that!”
Pullstart 63,498 #1413 Posted November 4, 2020 Father forgive me, for I know not what I do... Talk about being wrong about judging a book by it’s cover! amazing vocals, from... we’ll say an unsuspecting person!

They dropped the N so it would be more "pronounce-able" .

r356c 375 #1417 Posted November 16, 2020 Entrainment is defined by a temporal locking process in which one system’s motion or signal frequency entrains the frequency of another system. This process is a universal phenomenon that can be observed in physical (e.g., pendulum clocks) and biological systems (e.g., fire flies). However, entrainment can also be observed between human sensory and motor systems. Deadmau5 may not be everyone's cup of tea. He is working at an effective style of music therapy in my opinion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtwKNnAwXQg

Racinbob 11,421 #1424 Posted December 6, 2020 As a drummer myself I've always enjoyed listening to a good drummer. A while back I stumbled upon this young lady. Her technique and timing are outstanding. What's more fun then the song every drummer plays. 2
Handy Don 13,046 #1425 Posted December 6, 2020 Excellent, thanks @Racinbob. Another former drummer here and I loved the occasional grins that pop out when she nails the transitions! I never mastered the dual base line for Wipeout so I am in awe at that as well.
