I enjoy quite a lot when anyone uses an instrument to make it do other things. This guy has a tremendous amount of talent and is obviously very well practiced. 1

ebinmaine 67,508 #1214 Posted March 18, 2020 @19richie66 Nuno is one of the few. For sure. I've been a fan of Extreme since they first came on the market in 1989. I used to work with a guy who had a close relative that was involved with the band. Got to hear some interesting stuff from him. He was nice enough to hook me up with every album Extreme had at the time, a few years back. I must have six or seven?

Mows4three 826 #1216 Posted March 19, 2020 Popcorn Sutton. Now, there’s a guy I would have liked to have spent an afternoon with, just to hear his stories. He’s got a remarkable epitaph on his grave stone. Dave

I’m not keen on the music, but it’s popular and I’m sure it gets the (virtual) crowd moving! I’m neither popular nor a dancer... maybe I should start listening more and learn to dance . I wish her the best in her career, I’m sure all entertainers are feeling the hurt right now with no social gatherings.

System of a Down - Chop Suey! was on the radio a while back. Rylee loves her music rockin’ and loud. Bose stereo in the truck, cranked past 10! I told her when it came on, if she could recite the song all the way through after listening to it, I’d give her a dollar. I’m still a dollar rich!
tunahead72 2,412 #1222 Posted March 26, 2020 Every once in a while, my psyche feels like it needs a calming influence, and there's usually something musical that fills that need. In my younger days, before I even realized how much listening to music defined how I responded to the world around me, that need would usually be filled by something from the Grateful Dead, or maybe acoustic Jefferson Airplane or Hot Tuna. Nowadays, with the current coronavirus situation and everything surrounding it, added to all the usual stresses in our daily lives, something like these work nicely...
Pullstart 62,887 #1223 Posted March 27, 2020 (edited) Woke up with a bluegrass song in my head. Thanks SXM radio, I really enjoy Darin and Brooke! *edit* there are a lot of musicians in the industry who survive on touring. There is none right now. Most employees of the music industry are on salary and are still being paid by musicians. I see the industry as a whole hurting for quite a while. Listening on YouTube is a great way to support those musicians you enjoy. Take the extra 30 seconds and let an add play through. Like a video. It’s not much, but most of us all have a bit more time on our hands at home now and it’ll help the musicians to keep coming back with more, to aid in our sanity! Sleep Walk with Jeff Baxter on Steel Guitar It's funny you should mention "Skunk" Baxter, I've been meaning to check out some of his work recently. He's one of those guys who's been around forever and seems to have played with everyone, I didn't know about the Ventures connection until just now. Here's a taste...
