I was never into the Punk thing but recently watched a movie called CBGB. It was pretty good and entertaining. It's about the club owner of CBGB and how it got started and how it gave lots of bands opportunity. Bands had to play original music only there. I’ve seen: - Ronnie Earl - Barenaked Ladies (free tickets) - Delbert McClinton (I went to shake his hand and he jumped. I think I startled him, funny) - Tom Jones (took my mother as a gift. They often opened for another York, Pa. band named LIVE . Right to Left My son Mike Kennell, lead guitar; Hardy Hill, drummer; Caroline, vocals; Dave Henry, bass. Dave suffered a fatal heart attack at an early age resulting in the band disbanding. Mike is married to Dave's sister Libby and they operate the family HVAC business started by libby and Daves Grandfather Wilber Henry. Hardy Hill went on to star in some early episodes of the Big Brother TV series. I lost track of Caroli The volume was a bit high for my ears but we had some good times following these kids back in the day. tunahead72 2,412 #2572 Posted September 21 Yeah, I did actually, them and Greg Sover at the same local blues festival, it was great! This festival has been running since 2010 I believe, about 10 minutes from my house, and I'd never attended! This year I decided I just had to go, because as one of our esteemed former moderators said to me recently, ain't none of us getting any younger. Live music has been a huge part of my life, and I still manage to get to two or three shows a year, more if I can arrange it. It keeps me young, and at least moderately sane. I'm starting to have some of the same feelings about riding my motorcycle lately. My bike's been sitting in the same spot for about four years I think, and it's about drivin' me nuts! My first baby step will be to re-take the basic MSF class again, with my daughter this time, hopefully regain some of my confidence and skills, get the bike running again (shouldn't take much), and see what happens from there.
