tunahead72 2,381 #2555 Posted September 7 I had the pleasure of seeing these guys play earlier this afternoon at a local blues festival, a great set that included this tune. That's Kenny Aaronson on bass, who's played with just about everybody on the planet.

Pullstart 62,123 #2557 Posted September 10 Michael Buffer received a Federal Trademark in 1992 for “Let’s get ready to rumble!” I wonder if he receives royalties from lyrics?
tunahead72 2,381 #2558 Posted Monday at 02:07 AM We have a cricket in our house, somewhere in our fireplace, it's deafening, and I can't actually find it yet. I mentioned it to my neighbor, who had a similar problem in his bedroom recently. His response: "Burn the house down, it's the only option." Which reminded me of this:

I was never into the Punk thing but recently watched a movie called CBGB. It was pretty good and entertaining. It's about the club owner of CBGB and how it got started and how it gave lots of bands opportunity. Bands had to play original music only there. Surprisingly, the Talking Heads weren't really featured in it but they even reference CBGB in one of their songs. PWL216 859 #2562 Posted Tuesday at 03:18 PM (edited) In my opinion, Delbert is one of the most under appreciated singer-songwriters. He’s been one of my favorites for years. You want to get ready for the weekend, listen to I’m With You! Edited Tuesday at 03:21 PM by PWL216
peter lena 8,451 #2563 Posted Tuesday at 03:31 PM @PWL216 used to do a lot of small clubs , when they existed , thats the way to hear / feel what these singers are all about , saw johnny Copland in new london ct , incredible showman , also charlie musselwhite , ronnie earl , also went to GILLIES in houston texas , had stacks of 2x 12 lumber to set up extra tables , or easily eliminate seating for a dance floor , pete
PWL216 859 #2564 Posted Tuesday at 03:32 PM I saw Ronnie Earl live YEARS ago at a Chinese Restaurant in RI. Was awesome!
PWL216 859 #2565 Posted Tuesday at 03:42 PM (edited) BTW, I’ve been to very few live music events. I’ve seen: - Ronnie Earl - Barenaked Ladies (free tickets) - Delbert McClinton (I went to shake his hand and he jumped. I think I startled him, funny) - Tom Jones (took my mother as a gift. In his book he commented that he went from playing Vegas to a little sh*thole in MA - that’s the one we were at 😂) - James Taylor Edited Tuesday at 03:43 PM by PWL216

Ed Kennell 37,402 #2567 Posted Tuesday at 04:37 PM (edited) Ever run across Nectar Rock band. They played clubs and collages up and down the East coast in the 80s - 90s. They often opened for another York, Pa. band named LIVE . Right to Left My son Mike Kennell, lead guitar; Hardy Hill, drummer; Caroline, vocals; Dave Henry, bass. Dave suffered a fatal heart attack at an early age resulting in the band disbanding. Mike is married to Dave's sister Libby and they operate the family HVAC business started by libby and Daves Grandfather Wilber Henry. Hardy Hill went on to star in some early episodes of the Big Brother TV series. I lost track of Caroli The volume was a bit high for my ears but we had some good times following these kids back in the day.
