I’ve long thought the following quote may have influenced that song: “For in the final analysis, our most basic common link, is that we all inhabit this small planet, we all breathe the same air, we all cherish our children's futures, and we are all mortal.” John F. EB-80/8inPA 1,641 #2056 Posted April 9, 2022 (edited) On a lighter note, I only recently heard this merry tune. It’s been out a decade or so, though. If only I could only remember my 6th grade Spanish, lol. This guy seems to like a lot of stuff. The slide whistle is better than cow bell. tunahead72 2,414 #2066 Posted April 19, 2022 I thought so, too. I got an email earlier today from one of my favorite local-ish music venues, he's playing there in June. I've got a couple of other bands I want to see this year, so I don't know if I'll catch his show, but I will be rummaging through YouTube for more of his videos. tunahead72 2,414 #2072 Posted April 24, 2022 For a VERY long time, The Who's "Live at Leeds" and the Airplane's "Bless Its Pointed Little Head" were at the top of my "Favorite Live Albums" list. 50 or so years later (!) I've certainly listened to more music generally and live albums in particular, and find that they're both still near the very top. Every once in a while, my brain teases a bit of this medley into my consciousness, and I feel like I have to listen to it again, so here we go:
