No just yanking but some guys claim they can really fling it with a 520 and a deuce.

Any HP for a single depending on width and how far you need to move it. We have guys here use a 857 with no problems. For a 44" two I personally would want 16+. as the bigger tractors can handle the weight better. The tractor Scotsman showed won't drop an rpm or bat an eye shoved into the biggest bank with the way he has it set up. Probably burn the belt off first! Sorry little

So a 312-8 will do decent with a SS 44"? And a C-160 Auto would handle a 2 Stage? Do I need weights? Does it take a lot of traction to push into the snow?

Not all the V8s were Kohler powered. I had a 70 model Commando V8 with the VH-80 Tecumseh on it.

I'm going to have to add this RR-46 to the rare list because I've never seen another. I started a thread a couple of weeks ago asking if anyone has seen one and the overall response was no. One gentleman said he saw a well dressed man driving one but unfortunately we never heard anymore about that. For those that don't know this is a Wheel Horse Reo made in 1966-67

The first riding mower that my grandfather purchased looked to be one of these. I need to dig back in my vast slide archive from grandma, I know there's a picture of my Uncle in about 1965-6 cutting on it right after the purchase.  He was always ticked that my dad, a few years younger, got to grow up cutting on that while he had to use a push mower...years later, my uncle Rog made it into a go cart for us.  Unfortunately it disappeared about 20 years ago...

if you can get an 867 that runs and drives for $200 you should already be on your way to buy it.

 

that should have a limited slip rear end. That Kohler 8 is an excellent engine. Trina's Pigpen 867 is her go to tractor.

Is it 867 or 876. Or does both exist bc i know where 1 is I believe for 200 good shape.  Did it cone with a car lighter in dash of so I know where 1 is and kighter still in it.

Both of those models exist. note that the first number is 8. That's your engine horsepower.

the middle number tells you what transmission you have.

 

867 would be 8 horse, 6-speed, year 1967.

 

876 would be 8 horse, 7 equals Hydro transmission, 6 of course would be 1966.

 

I know a cigarette lighter was an option back in that vintage but I don't know on what models.

 

I can tell you that if that tractor is a 6-speed, that transmission alone is worth $150 or more.

I have an early 953 kinda rare with the boat steering wheel early serial tag. I bought it from the original owners son(Bob Franks) in 2017. It was bought new 8 miles away from me at Dean Colter INC wheelhorse dealer in Kendallville Indiana.
