I am in the middle of repainting my 1990 416-8 and need a recommendation on paint to paint the wheels. Thanks

Here's the the paint recommendations, but it doesn't list anything for white after 1990. I'm not sure how good a match the other colors listed would be.

Thanks, I have read through that thread for my other paint needs but my wheels are silver.

Used this on my '88 520 wheels, turned out virtually identical to the factory applied silver :wh: used.

Argent-silver is also a Ford color used on older trucks with painted grills, head light rims, and bumpers.

Yep, it was the AMC factory wheel color too.

Most auto parts stores (NAPA, Autozone, Advanced Auto, etc...) carry rattle cans of wheel paint. It comes in several shades from dark grey metallic to argent silver. It's usually a bit more expensive than regular spray paint, but well worth it. Just be sure it's labled as wheel paint.

Use grey or white primer under it, as it can be semi-translucent- even after a couple coats. Red oxide primer= pink wheels in direct sunlight.
