Prater 75 #1 Posted June 25, 2012 So far everything is looking good. Just curious if anyone sells any of their produce at farmers markets or through craigslist? We are thinking if things keep going well for us that we may try to sell squash this fall and a few things next year. We will be doubling the size of the garden for some fall produce. Here is one of our watermellon plants taking over the area Our first watermellon eggplants are starting also
AMC RULES 37,141 #2 Posted June 25, 2012 Crops look great so far...is that the wheat straw mulch idea in place there? Looks like that idea is working out pretty good too.
Prater 75 #3 Posted June 25, 2012 Yes, thats the wheat straw. As you can see I missed a few grass shoots as I was putting down the straw. I guess a few shoots of grass are not harming anything yet...LOL
312Hydro 474 #4 Posted June 25, 2012 Oh wow,Steve! I'm sitting here wishing I could get 1 tomato and you have such a great garden! Got mine in late ,been about 3 weeks now. Great job on that garden! :handgestures-thumbupright:
Prater 75 #5 Posted June 25, 2012 Thanks Rich, Our tomatoes are ok, the hail really took the bushes down. We have an issue with fruitworms, trying to stay as organic as possible but I had to put some seven dust on the larger tomatoes and we still seem to have some worms.
