wallfish 16,964 #1 Posted June 20, 2012 Unfortunately this one will not make it to the show this year. I was trying like mad to get'r done but work picked up and time got short. I'm building this as a two seater to cruise around the shows since the wife has been going to some of them with me. It's sporting an 8 speed tranny powered by a small Clinton.

wallfish 16,964 #18 Posted June 20, 2012 Thanks guys! I thought the snow plow idea would get some attention. It's used as a fender to keep the dirt or mud from getting all over our legs. I like the old round and/or curved look of the 50's style stuff so this old blade worked perfect for both the look and the function. The seat will go across the top of the tires with a back rest and I borrowed a pipe bender to keep things with the round/curved style. I did want to drop the fenders tighter to the front wheels but it needs the room for the axle to pivot and still be able to steer with one side all the way up. That's as tight as they can go without hitting. One more pound of presure in the tires and they'll hit.

Coadster32 793 #23 Posted June 22, 2012 Just an idea for you. If you wanted the fenders closer to the wheels at all times, could you mount them to the moving axle, rather than attaching them to the hood/frame? I like the way it sits now as well, and certainly easier to keep them where they are. I'll be watching this build, as I'm sure many others will too. :handgestures-thumbupright:

neil 2,409 #25 Posted June 23, 2012 I just love the look of this John How have you managed to do the offset left hand drive stearing and how is the engine drive connected Or is this top secret information. I would love to have the time and inclination to be able to build one of those this is what makes these wheel horse tractors so amazing with everything that just bolts together. like Meccanno
